Fall 2017 MCCQE Part II pre-application open
We would just like to provide a gentle reminder for those hoping to write their MCCQE Part II for this Fall, the pre-application is between for April 24 to May 23. Check your e-mails for the below information.
"Please note that the pre-application period for the fall 2017 Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE) Part II is now open. If you are interested in taking the MCCQE Part II, the following STEPS are required:
Step 1: You must add your name to the pre-application list through your physiciansapply.ca account at any time between April 24 and May 23, 2017. o Click on “Examination” on the left panel o Click on “Apply for an examination” on the centre panel o Click on the “MCCQEII Fall 2017” exam option. You will need to answer a few questions. Once completed, you will see a confirmation screen that you have been added to the pre-application list. o You will also receive a confirmation message once completed. To view this message, click on “Messages” on the left side panel. NOTE: The pre-application deadline is May 23, 2017 at 11:59 p.m., Eastern Time. You will not be able to add your name to the pre-application list after this deadline. Please note the following exceptions for the fall 2017 session: o If you will be completing your first 12 months of postgraduate clinical medical training after the date of the exam (October 28, 2017) — you will not be able to pre-apply to take the exam this session as capacity needs to be allocated to candidates further along in their training/career. o If you are taking the spring 2017 MCCQE Part I or MCCQE Part II — you will have the opportunity to add your name to a pre-application list for the fall session after you receive your spring results in approximately mid-June 2017.
Step 2: Wait to receive an invitation to apply. Following the close of the pre-application period on May 23 2017, we will randomly select candidates from the pre-application list. The number of selected candidates will be based on available exam capacity.
Step 3: If you are selected, you will receive an invitation to apply and pay for the exam through yourphysiciansapply.ca account. Not all invitations will be sent at once; some candidates may receive an invitation before others. Please monitor your physiciansapply.ca account on a regular basis for further updates. Candidates who do not receive an invitation to apply for the fall 2017 session will need to wait to pre-apply to a future session.
