ERMEP/ROMP Policy Update

We would like to let everyone know that on the intranet there is a new and updated policies for ERMEP/ROMP that previously weren't visible - click here. This is important reading for all residents as a reminder for applying for ERMEP funding in a timely fashion. This has been a problem with some of our residents in the past and it is not only important for your own reimbursement but for your preceptors to receive payment/recognition as well.

PGY-1: Reminder Wednesday Teaching

Just a reminder for PGY-1 KTI residents on FM service regarding Wednesday Resident Teaching rounds - please send me the lecture after your presentation each week. I will be sending a reminder to whomever is presenting. These will go under the section: https://www.qfmblog.com/teaching as available resources to you (password is located in your dfm e-mail). For QBOL/BQ/PK - I still highly encourage you to send your own teaching topics as they are presented. I will send periodic requests to your chiefs asking about these.

Resource Update: Elective Database

The electives database has been updated as an active link replacing the previous downloadable file to allow for the most up to date viewing. It is available under www.qfmblog.com/databases The resident driven elective database was reinitiated by the outgoing 2016 site chiefs. It is contributed by residents voluntarily across all training sites in an attempt to provide some insight into the potential elective experiences for PGY-2 planning.

HFO Career Fairs Reminder

Reminder for PGY-1&2, All Sites: HealthForceOntario is holding a careers fair on August 10th @ 4:30-8:00pm with FREE buffet dinner at the Four Points Sheraton ballroom A and B: for PGY-1s your session is at 4:30 right after your MSK skills day, so can go straight into the exhibit hall and browse and get some dinner. PGY-2s will be completed their 99topics day by 5:30pm and can follow in, food will be refreshed. The Careers Fair will consist of around 20 communities/family practice groups/Community Health Centres and Hospitals in South Eastern Ontario any of which could be a potential practice site for you. They will have set up booths so you can walk around and meet the recruiters for thes
