Undergraduate Teaching Nights

Posted on behalf of Drs Vanessa Audet and Kristen Mayrand

Announcement #1

We are looking for residents who are interested in teaching 1st and 2nd year medical school students! We are in charge of the Family Medicine Resident Teaching Night (FM-RTN) and are looking to establish a mailing list.

FM-RTNs are group sessions where family medicine residents teach medical students about common topics in family medicine using a case-based format. There will also be an opportunity for the students to ask questions to the residents about family medicine as a career, CaRMS, clerkship, electives, etc.

Sessions will take place approximately once per month and usually take place from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. You will receive a tutor guide before each session you choose to participate in.

If you believe this is something that would be of interest to you, please fill out the Resident sign-up below. By signing up, you will be placed on our mailing list and will receive an email from us before each new session as we recruit tutors.

This year’s first FM-RTN will take place on Nov 1st IN HAYNES HALL, 115 CLARENCE STREET, starting at 5:15pm, expected to end at 7:30pm. Dinner will be provided. The session will be Approach to cough. Please email Vanessa.audet@dfm.queensu.ca if you are not able to attend the session once you have RSVP'ed so that another resident may attend.

Please use the sign-up link below to register for the Nov 1st session specifically.

Thanks a bunch!

Kristin and Vanessa
