PGY-1: Flouride Varnish Project

On behalf of one of our PGY-3s:

Hi PGY-1s! I’m looking for one or more residents to help me get a fluoride varnish program off the ground at QFHT. Fluoride varnish is applied to children’s teeth every 3-6 months and helps prevent caries. This is hugely important in our area because our water isn’t fluoridated, so many kids have no fluoride exposure at all. I have arranged for supplies to be provided through the health unit, but we still need to create the program at QFHT. There would be an opportunity to turn this into your resident advocacy/research project, but that level of commitment isn’t required. Please get in touch if you’re interested, I would love to hear from you!

Thanks,

Sam Buttemer
